Q: What does avoca records have to do with the Autism/Special Needs community?

A: Our family is part of the Autism/Special Needs community and we want to help others in our situation.

Q: How can I participate as a musician?

A: Contribute your music, original or royalty free.  You can donate all of the proceeds to one of the autism/special needs causes we support.  Or you can receive half of the net profits and the other half will go to various Special Needs ministries, schools or foundations.

Q: How can I help Special Needs organizations fundraise with my music?

A: Allow organizations, churches and foundations to licence your music for fundraising music sales.  You can allow them to use your music to fundraise at no charge.  Or we can arrange for you to receive .10 per song per sale.  We will stipulate that at least 90% of the profits go to the autism/special needs person they serve.

Q: What benefit do I receive as a musician?

A: You will receive full credit for your work, you retain all rights to your work, if we produced/recorded your music you can use it as you wish.  We will promote your music on our site and ask that the fundraising organization do so as well. You will have a charitable contribution tax write off to claim on your income tax.  You will be giving to a cause that needs your support.  You'll have the satisfaction of giving back!

Q: How would an autism-special needs program, school, foundation, group participate?

A: Contact us and we'll walk you through how to use the music on our site to raise money for your autism-special needs cause.  We ask that you give full credit to the musicians and their music.  We ask that 90% go to the actual autism-special needs person you're serving.  

Q: What is involved in producing a fundraising cd/music project?

A: We will work out a licensing agreement that allows you to use the music to fundraise for a modest fee.  We'll assist you to offer your music online or in physical CDs.  We'll put you in contact with photographers, graphics specialists, web designers, cd duplication/printing.  You'll be surprised how easy and affordable music fundraising can be!  We'll walk you through it start to finish.  

Q: What are the fees typically?

A: Typically licensing fees are .10 per song you plan to sell.  Total cd duplication can cost between $1.00-2.00 depending on how complicated the printing needs are.  Online selling is now easier than ever and very cost effective.
